The end is in sight for the Financial Services Bill, which has been been handed back to the House of Commons following final scrutiny and addition of amendments in the House of Lords. Assuming the UK government accepts the wording of the Bill as it now stands, it will seek to pass it through without fuss. But if it does not like any of the amendments, it will seek to change them, setting up a game of Parliamentary Ping-Pong.
