The Overseas Funds Regime has been put in place, but discussions about what to do next on distribution into the UK are not straightforward, according to comments from a fund administrator headquartered in the EU. For example, UK domestic unit trust and open ended investment company (OEIC) vehicles are strongly positioned. And putting 'boots on the ground' in terms of committing to a physical presence in the UK market as distinct from parachuting in products has proven challenging to non-Anglo-Saxon managers from the Continent in the past.
