Fund providers looking ahead to the post Brexit way of doing things in the UK should probably devote some time to read between the lines of the Financial Conduct Authority's proposed new Consumer Duty. This is set to affect financial products and services already in the market from 2022, but also important for those thinking of bringing funds to the market through existing or new routes will be to figure out if this new Duty carries new costs and complexity.
